Businesses and Nonprofits

Kallion provides time, resources, and encouragement to professionals in the business and non-profit sectors who want to cultivate a practice of engaging with humanities works for their leadership development.

Our signature program is the Kallion Circle, a six-session event, consisting of 90 minutes per session, in which participants meet with a Kallion facilitator to reflect more deeply on what leadership is and how it can be improved upon in their own practice.

These Circles feature core Kallion leadership development practices, such as, sketching leadership, in which participants learn to write down from various angles the leadership they see in their lives and want to emulate, and focused dialogue, in which participants learn to hear the perspectives of others and “think with” one another about problems of leadership. Depending on the needs of the individual participants and their organizations, Kallion facilitators can help with any of the following approaches to leadership development through the humanities:

  • Increasing the number and quality of conversations an organization is having about leadership and topics related to leadership like succession planning, diversity and inclusivity, and emotional intelligence (empathy)
  • Helping participants make connections between the leadership they see in a humanities work and their own leadership experiences
  • Translating leadership practices across multiple communities, like family, society, and politics
  • Helping participants cultivate their own personal and authentic form of leadership and communicating their leadership style to others

Kallion also offers Individual Leadership Consultation, in order to provide agents of leadership with a deeper level of feedback and support on their leadership development, a private space
to experiment with new ideas, and the perspective of someone outside one’s organization.

Kallion shares free resources for anyone who wants to begin cultivating their leadership development on their own or as part of a Kallion Circle:
