The Ancient Leadership collection brings the humanities to the business world by exploring narratives of becoming a leader in Classical history, mythology, philosophy, and material culture. These cases allow students to engage with sources from the diverse cultures of the ancient Mediterranean basin, not merely limited to Greece and Rome, but also Persia, Phoenicia, Lydia, Egypt, Etruria, etc. The collection represents an inclusive array of individuals and leadership scenarios in ancient Mediterranean societies, especially in terms of gender, social status, economic class, and occupation.

Beyond the Boundaries of Fantasia: An Ancient Imagining of the Future of Leadership

Beyond the Boundaries is a collection of fifteen modules on leadership from the ancient Greek, Romany, Egyptian, and Persian cultures. Special topics include gendered leadership, military leadership, global leadership, the emotional life of the leader, rhetoric, material culture, and portraiture. Each module is designed to correspond to one week of activity in a typical university course. The modules may be used as stand-alone course materials or as integrated pieces of the entire site. Students are challenged with a range of experiential activities and original texts and images.

American Pi: Ancient Leadership in the Era of Donald Trump

American Pi is a collection of twelve modules on leadership from the ancient Greek, Roman, and Persian cultures that address topics relevant to what is currently known as the “Era of Donald Trump”. Topics include gender, immigration, art as resistance, race, demagoguery, narcissism, psychopathy, propaganda, numismatics, and the use and abuse of history to understand a contemporary leader. Each module is designed to correspond to one week of activity in a typical university course. The modules may be used as stand-alone course materials or as integrated pieces of the entire site. Students and instructors are challenged with a range of experiential activities and original texts and images.
